M. Com. is a two-year, four-semester degree course that offers an opportunity for graduates to acquire theoretical as well as practical inputs relating to the various segments of commerce. The course discusses various contemporary issues both from the national as well as international perspectives. The course covers the basic as well as advanced subjects in the area of commerce such as accounting theory, financial management, financial services and taxation policy. The curriculum also covers core subjects such as statistics for business decisions, human resource management and organizational behavior. A Master's graduate in commerce has the advantage of entering a career either in academics, research, or alternatively, in other professional areas of commerce and finance such as taxation, consultancy and financial services.
